On the occasion of International Women in Engineering Day, Engineers Canada has partnered with Ingenium to host the first-ever women in engineering Wikipedia edit-a-thon!

In Canada, only 13.1 per cent of engineers are women. Women are likewise underrepresented in Wikipedia entries. Join Engineers Canada and Ingenium on June 23, 2019, to help us bridge this digital gap by researching and recording the contributions of Canadian women in engineering. This will raise the profile of women in engineering and hopefully inspire other girls and women to follow in their footsteps into the engineering profession!

We’ll provide you with a crash course on Wikipedia editing (and food!), and in turn, we’re asking you to edit for a good cause. Spaces are limited; register online now!

Date: June 23, 2019, 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET

Location: Canada Aviation and Space Museum, 11 Aviation Pkwy, Ottawa, ON, K1K 2X5
